Hadith in Deen Coach
An-Nawawi's 42 hadiths and a Riyad as-Salihin selection, with sources and grades, offline.
Authentic hadith collections in Deen Coach: full Arbaun An-Nawawi, Riyad as-Salihin, explicit Bukhari and Muslim sources, grades shown, offline.
Collections available in the app
This first version embeds two complementary collections: al-Arbaʿūn al-Nawawiyyah in full (42 ḥadīths, the name « Forty » being conventional while the historic collection contains 42) and a selection of 12 ḥadīths from Riyāḍ aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn, both compiled by Imām Yaḥyā ibn Sharaf al-Nawawī (d. 676 AH). Each ḥadīth shows its origin in the major collections (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Sunan, and others), together with its authenticity grade.
- Al-Arbaʿūn al-Nawawiyyah: 42 ḥadīths in full.
- Riyāḍ aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn: 12 selected ḥadīths.
- Sources: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Sunan referenced per ḥadīth.
Browse by theme
Navigation works along three complementary axes: by collection (Arbaʿūn or Riyāḍ aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn), by chapter as organized in the original work, and by theme to quickly find ḥadīths covering a specific topic (intention, ʿibādāt, akhlāq, faith, conduct, speech). This triple entry respects the pedagogical structure of both collections, without inventing a modern classification.
Search and favorites
A local text search lets you find a ḥadīth from a word in the Arabic matn or in its French and English translation. Each ḥadīth can be added to favorites, annotated with a personal note persisted locally, and marked as read. Favorites and notes are kept strictly on the phone, without cloud sync.
Sources and chains of transmission
Each ḥadīth carries an explicit source attribution: collection of origin, indication of the narrating Companion when the isnād specifies it, and where relevant a mention of the matn (body of the text) as transmitted. The goal is to let the user immediately trace the ḥadīth back to the reference works and carry out personal verification, in line with the responsibility every Muslim has toward words attributed to the Prophet ﷺ.
The science of isnād (chain of transmission) is one of the most rigorous specificities of the Islamic tradition. Deen Coach does not display full chains ḥadīth by ḥadīth (that is the role of dedicated ḥadīth works), but systematically indicates the primary source so as to direct the user toward verification.
Verification methodology
Hadith selection and display follow the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah along the path of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ. Each ḥadīth is explicitly graded (ṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan or ḍaʿīf) and that grade is shown in the interface. In line with this methodology, ḍaʿīf ḥadīths are never used as proof of a ḥukm (legal ruling); when they appear in the reference literature (historically or for targhīb / tarhīb), their weakness is clearly flagged.
- Grade ṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan or ḍaʿīf shown for every ḥadīth.
- Refusal of ḍaʿīf as a legal proof.
- No fabricated (mawḍūʿ) ḥadīth embedded.
Fully offline
All embedded ḥadīths, their translations, sources, grades, text search, favorites and notes work without any internet connection from the first launch of the app. No third-party server dependency, no network call to read a ḥadīth.
