Support Deen Coach: sadaqah jāriyah

Deen Coach is designed as a sadaqah jāriyah: a work whose trace continues to benefit after the one who set it down has left this world. The project has no direct monetisation model. No subscription, no premium tier, no feature locked behind a paid plan, no advertising. There is therefore nothing to pay, and no one to send anything to in order to use the app. Support for the project then takes other forms, all more precious from the Muslim perspective: making Deen Coach known to relatives, recommending it to mosques and Quranic schools, contributing to translation or design via the source code published on GitHub, and invoking Allāh for the Wazmine team that maintains the project. The full understanding of sadaqah jāriyah and its personal application belong to a qualified scholar. Wa Allāhu aʿlam. This institutional page lays out Deen Coach's posture, presents the concrete ways to support the project, and remains a sober point of contact. To propose a partnership or specific support: [email protected].

What sadaqah jāriyah is

Sadaqah jāriyah ("continuing charity") refers, in the Sunnah, to a work whose benefit continues for its author after their death. The central reference is reported by imām Muslim in his Ṣaḥīḥ, on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu), from the Prophet ﷺ: "When the human being dies, his works cease for him except for three: a sadaqah jāriyah, a knowledge from which benefit is drawn, or a righteous child who supplicates for him" (meaning of the ḥadīth). The Arabic wording is: « إذا مات الإنسان انقطع عنه عمله إلا من ثلاثة: إلا من صدقة جارية، أو علم يُنتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له ». The precise ḥukm, the conditions of application and the qualification of a given work as sadaqah jāriyah belong to a qualified scholar. Wa Allāhu aʿlam.

Quranic foundations

The Noble Quran encourages in many passages spending in the way of Allāh, including the well-known parable of al-Baqarah 2:261 on the seven ears in the grain of wheat being multiplied, and al-Ḥadīd 57:18, which mentions "the men and women who give sadaqah and lend Allāh a beautiful loan". The detailed interpretation of these verses and their link to sadaqah jāriyah are explained by Ahl al-Sunnah ʿulamāʾ in classical tafsīr and fiqh works.

Scholarly frame

Imām al-Nawawī, in his famous Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn (book on sadaqah), gathers several authentic aḥādīth on the merit of almsgiving and continuing works. The contemporary fatāwā of recognised Ahl al-Sunnah scholars, such as shaykh Ibn Bāz and shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn, frequently address sadaqah jāriyah in its concrete applications; consulting these fatāwā directly or asking a qualified scholar remains the path to recommend for any personal decision.

How to support the project

Four concrete forms of support are possible, from the Muslim perspective and without any financial transaction.

Share with loved ones

Recommend the app to family, friends, brothers and sisters at the mosque, or to anyone who could benefit from it in their learning. Simply sharing the link `https://deencoach.app` may be enough.

Recommend to mosques and schools

Make Deen Coach known to the leaders of a halaqah, a Quranic school or a Muslim association one attends, mentioning in particular Teacher Mode and the seventeen learning tracks. The `/pour-les-mosquees/` page gathers the useful information to pass on.

Contribute to translation or design

For users with skills in translation (notably native Arabic, English, more languages in the future) or in product design, contribution is possible via the public GitHub repository: `https://github.com/adisaf/deencoach-pack`. Direct contact by e-mail remains the simplest path: [email protected].

Make duʿāʾ for the Wazmine team

The most precious support, from the Muslim perspective, remains supplication. Making duʿāʾ for the sincerity, barakah, health, perseverance and Allāh's acceptance of this work, for the Wazmine team that develops and maintains the app.

Why no direct monetisation

Deen Coach's position is not a marketing choice or an acquisition strategy: it is a deliberate editorial stance, set from the start. The propagation of the dīn is not a commercial product. The app cannot therefore be turned into a personal revenue stream for those who carry it, nor present a premium plan reserved for paying users.

Free for life

All features of the app are and will remain free for individuals as for institutions, with no subscription, no advertising, no feature locking. Any possible change of economic model would imply a change of project, not an evolution of Deen Coach as it exists today.

No data monetisation

This posture also extends to data: no resale of personal data, no targeted advertising, no third-party commercial trackers. The technical details are described on the `/privacy/` page.

Contribute to translation or design (detail)

The public resources needed to contribute are gathered in an open GitHub repository: `https://github.com/adisaf/deencoach-pack`. Depending on the contributor's profile, two families of contributions are particularly useful.

Translation review and improvement

Native Arabic speakers, tajwīd teachers, professional translators and bilinguals sensitive to liturgical nuance are particularly useful to review site and app content. Any correction, suggestion or more precise wording proposal can be opened as a GitHub issue or sent by e-mail.

Product design, accessibility, visual identity

UI/UX designers, accessibility specialists (WCAG, screen readers, dark mode, contrast, RTL), or Islamic typography experts can contribute to raising the visual quality and inclusiveness of the app on iOS, Android and web platforms.

Propose a partnership

Any mosque, Quranic school, Muslim association or educational structure wishing to open an institutional exchange with Deen Coach can write directly to [email protected], specifying the context (type of structure, audience, concrete expectations). The team replies personally, with no automated template. No financial counterpart is expected, in either direction. The `/pour-les-mosquees/` page details the possible forms of sober partnership.
