New converts: accompanied first steps
Pillar dedicated to new converts: shahāda, basics of ʿaqīdah, progressive learning of prayer and the Quran, with warm step-by-step support.
Peace be upon you. If you have just entered Islam, or if you are walking alongside someone who has just pronounced the shahāda, you are warmly welcome. Allāh says: « lā yukallifu Allāhu nafsan illā wusʿahā », « Allāh does not burden any soul beyond what it can bear » (al-Baqara 2:286), and He reminds us in al-Ḥajj 22:78 that He has placed no hardship in the religion. Islam is learned step by step, gently, starting from the foundations. This pillar gathers content designed for the first months and first years after conversion: meaning of the shahāda and of tawḥīd, the ḥadīth of Jibrīl that sums up islam, īmān and iḥsān, progressive learning of prayer, first sūrahs to memorise, ablutions, fasting, and practical advice for living one's new practice peacefully at home, at work and in society. Every step taken is precious in the sight of Allāh, even when it seems small. For personal questions, do not hesitate to reach out to a qualified teacher or scholar in your area, who can accompany you over time. Wa Allāhu aʿlam.
