Family and married life according to the Sunnah
Pillar dedicated to the family: nikāḥ, mutual spousal rights, raising children, birr al-wālidayn and ṣilat al-raḥim according to the authentic Sunnah.
The family holds a central place in the dīn. Allāh says in sūrat al-Rūm (30:21) that He placed between spouses mawaddah wa-raḥmah, love and mercy, and He commands the believer to show kindness to parents and relatives in sūrat an-Nisāʾ (4:36) and Luqmān (31:14). The Prophet ﷺ clarified the husband's rights, the wife's rights, the status of the child and the weight of the head of household's responsibility through a body of ḥadīths gathered in particular in kitāb al-nikāḥ and kitāb al-birr wa-l-ṣilah of the two Ṣaḥīḥ. This pillar gathers content useful for building a home rooted in the Sunnah: preparing for marriage, balancing rights and duties, raising children progressively (tarbiyah), maintaining family ties and dealing with ageing parents. The goal is not to induce guilt, but to clearly transmit what is obligatory, recommended and permissible, while referring particular situations to a qualified scholar. Wa Allāhu aʿlam.
